What hiring intelligence actually means for modern brands

By Meghan Houle, Founder & CEO · October 23, 2026 · 2 min read

Intelligence is not a prettier dashboard

A dashboard that counts applicants is reporting. Intelligence should make the next decision clearer. For brand leaders, that means understanding role requirements, relevant talent, intent and what past decisions taught the organization.

Four signal categories

Role signals: the outcomes, team scope and competencies required. Human signals: judgment, leadership and customer instincts supported by evidence. Intent signals: geography, readiness and career direction. Outcome signals: what happened after the hire and what should change next time.

The human-in-the-loop standard

No matching system should be treated as a substitute for interviews, references, fair evaluation or leadership accountability. The goal is better shortlists and better questions. Teams should document the evidence behind a decision rather than outsourcing judgment to a score.

Where to begin

Audit your last three critical hires. What information arrived too late? Which questions were repeated? What knowledge was lost? Build a simple scorecard that can travel from planning through onboarding and review.

The CONCÉ perspective

CONCÉ is building a hiring intelligence ecosystem around vetted talent, proactive benches and matching. The commercial value is not a claim that software makes decisions for you. It is that teams can approach those decisions with stronger information.
